What happens if I have a child before I retire?

Under plan rules, if you have dependent children when you retire (or when you die, if that happens earlier), they are entitled to receive any survivor benefits payable from the Plan, along with your survivor pre-retirement, if you have one.

If a new child joins your family, update your personal data through Employee Self Serve (ESS) or by contacting AccessHR.

What happens if I have a child after I retire?

If you have a child join your family after you retire, that child is not eligible for survivor benefits from the Plan.
